A review is the second highest degree of service an auditor can perform. A review provides limited degree of assurance that there are no material modifications needed and required of the financial statements to be in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). A review takes less time than an audit. A review is both an assurance and attestation type of service.
